The Ribble Fisheries Consultative Association (RFCA) exists to represent anglers and fisheries across the Ribble catchment. But an honest question now needs asking: is it
doing that effectively, and what – if anything – should change?
Rather than make assumptions or talk amongst ourselves, we’re asking anglers directly.
The RFCA is entirely a volunteer led association. Time is limited, resources are finite,
and everyone involved gives what they can. Even so, we all want to do the very best we
can for angling and the river.
This short, anonymous questionnaire is about understanding:
- how well the RFCA is known and understood,
- whether anglers and clubs feel represented,
- and whether there is any real appetite for engagement going forward.

This is not about blaming individuals or pushing an agenda. It’s about listening, being
honest, and understanding what anglers want – or don’t want – from the RFCA.
If you care about fishing on the Ribble, please take a few minutes to have your say.
Whatever the outcome, it will be better than silence.
